StockCo was formed in 1995 by Marcus Kight, who saw the opportunity to bring New Zealand farming businesses the kind of strategic financial tools that were revolutionising financial management in other industries.
StockCo initially concentrated on tools for financing slaughter livestock, and found a ready market with business-minded farmers. StockCo is now one of New Zealand’s major financiers of slaughter livestock.
The rapid uptake of StockCo’s approach in the slaughter livestock business made it clear that similar solutions could revolutionise the financial management of New Zealand’s $6 billion breeding stock market.
StockCo now offers a total breeding stock package for dairy herds, ewe flocks and beef cow herds. This suite of products is also offered in Australia, where our emphasis is on dairying.
StockCo operates throughout New Zealand and , with a management and administration base in Hastings, New Zealand.
